Job Description

As a WDSU intern, you will come to understand how a television station operates and be expected to contribute to the operation. You will be engaged in the newsroom, assisting producers, editors, assignment editors, reporters, photographers, and anchors. The intern will also have the opportunity to accompany crews in the field and may even have the opportunity to field produce.

Editorial process (broadcast and/or digital)
Writing / storytelling
Overall newsgathering
Newscast producing / story selection
Digital/Social priorities
Boothing shows in the control room
Communication with field crews
Breaking news protocol
