THE JOB

The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory is looking for a Security Crew Member to join our opening shift. Hours may vary depending on the event schedule, but shifts are generally 5:30 AM-11:30 AM.

This role is responsible for monitoring and securing the venue to help maintain a safe environment for employees, guests, artists, and vendors. The majority of this shift is spent outdoors and may include monitoring entrances, patrolling the property, opening and closing gates, and screening individuals entering restricted areas.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the live music environment, is comfortable working independently, and doesn't mind spending most of their shift outdoors in the Texas weather.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, guests, vendors, and other individuals.
• Patrol venue premises and monitor doors, gates, and other access points.
• Be proactive in identifying and addressing potential security or safety concerns in a professional manner.
• Manually open and close venue gates as needed.
• Operate metal detectors and other screening equipment to prevent prohibited items from entering restricted areas.
• Document daily activities and any incidents, property damage, unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences when needed.
• Address rule violations and assist with removing individuals from the premises when necessary.
• Participate in the venue's sustainability efforts, which may include sorting waste, collecting recycling, and supporting other waste-reduction initiatives.
• Be available to work at least 50% of scheduled events.
• Spend approximately 90% of scheduled work hours outdoors.
• Maintain a valid Level 2 Security License or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Level 2 Security License/Guard Card preferred, or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement procedures.
• Ability to work independently, use good judgment, and follow established policies and procedures.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with good judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow through on assigned responsibilities.
• Ability to walk for extended periods, climb stairs, lift and carry 25+ lbs., and remain seated at a post for extended periods.
