Are you a technical problem-solver who thrives in the fast-paced environment of live broadcasting? We're looking for a Technical Operations Specialist to be the backbone of our control room operations in Atlanta. In this role, you'll use your hands-on expertise to keep our broadcasts running smoothly, troubleshoot on the fly, and ensure every technical element comes together seamlessly for our viewers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Provide technical support for remote guests using various video conferencing platforms
• Provide support in managing incoming signals from the field
• Organize and ingest video from field crews and affiliates for editorial use
• Act as the primary technical support for operations for control room and studio for specified times
• Work with network engineering and operations to ensure needs are met in control room and studio
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Associates degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
• Specialized training/certification may be required
• Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Must work well under the pressure of a live broadcast
• Must be able to make quick decisions and give accurate instructions
• Ability to solve problems under pressure and apply hands-on knowledge to do so
• Ability to troubleshoot issues over the phone with remote guests
• Possess excellent organizational and communication skills
• Must understand the entire scope of needs in the studio and control room
• Good knowledge of IT applications in relation to television broadcast equipment
• Flexible work hours are required, including weekends, holidays, and possible overtime hours
