Job Description
Job Title: Senior Coordinator, Artist Insights & Strategy

A little bit about our team:

The Global Catalog Growth & Insights team uses data & insights to help define and shape the strategy for growing audiences across all of WMG's Off-Roster Catalog. We work with Artist Brand Managers, Artists themselves, and their management teams to communicate opportunities to increase engagement among their current fans and highlight ways to reach new potential fans.

Your role:

Based in NYC and reporting to the London-based Director, Artist Insights & Strategy, the Senior Coordinator, Artist Insights & Strategy will play a key supporting role in the collection and analysis of research data to uncover insights that help define the strategic direction of our rich Global Catalog and extend the legacy and success of our most iconic artists.

You will be deeply immersed in cultural trends and the digital landscape, and help drive high-impact, research-driven projects from conception to completion, translating cultural, audience, and consumption data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

Here you'll get to:
• Support the Director, Artist Insights & Strategy and internal Artist Brand Managers by conducting research deep dives and audience analysis to guide long-term artist strategies.
• Monitor internet culture, social media trends, subcultures, and fan behaviors to identify cultural shifts and strategic opportunities.
• Translate internet culture findings and audience insights into pitch-ready concepts, content ideas, and partnerships to reintroduce classic works to new generations.
• Assist with collection and visualization of audience data, leveraging AI-powered tools and modern research workflows.
• Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into engaging, narrative-led material that clearly communicates audience insights and growth opportunities.
• Organize and update internal research databases and third-party reports libraries to keep insights easily accessible for global teams.
• Maintain team project trackers and coordinate task timelines across the US and UK teams.

About you:
• You live and breathe internet culture and are genuinely passionate about music, artist legacies and the power of storytelling to drive discovery and fandom across generations.
• Sharp cultural and strategic analysis: a knack for translating complex cultural & audience data (quant & qual) into clear, tangible recommendations, using compelling narratives.
• A curious mindset and an appetite to understand why audiences love what they love, how fan communities operate, and where music culture is moving next.
• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to prioritize effectively and manage competing demands.
• A collaborative mindset and a proven ability to work seamlessly across cross-functional internal teams.
• Strong communication skills with experience interacting with a diverse range of internal & external stakeholders.
• 2-3 years of experience in a coordinator, research support, or admin role within music, entertainment, or digital media.

We'd love it if you also had:
• Familiarity with analytics or audience data tools, such as Chartmetric, co:brand, and Luminate.
• Experience in working with brands, building strategies for growing reach & long-term engagement.
• Music industry experience.
• Background in marketing to understand levers and their impacts in different scenarios.
