CBS News Colorado is looking for a part-time Operations Technician.

Our newsroom moves fast and works together. You'll collaborate daily with a tight-knit team of journalists covering everything from breaking news and severe weather to sports and the issues shaping life across Colorado. We look for people who thrive under deadline pressure, and care about telling stories that serve and reflect the communities that surround KCNC.

Overview / role details:
• Variety of live newscast operation duties, including (but not limited to) studio, robotic, handheld, and jib camera operation, audio mixing, and transmission operations (coordinating live shots, feeds, recordings.)
• Preparing studio for broadcast and shutting down studio after broadcast
• Run Teleprompter, follow camera cues, time cues, cut ins
• Set up mics, operate audio consoles
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with Directors and Anchors
• Manage studio guests
• Deliver work within newscast deadlines

REQUIRED:
• Minimum of 2 years TV production and operations experience in a similar size market or comparable operation to those at KCNC required.
• The successful candidate should have the ability to work well with others in stressful environments and circumstances.
• Live television or similar broadcast experience is required.
• Ability to work under pressure and on a deadline is required.
• Ability to stand for several hours at a time, sit, lift 25 lbs. and climb ladders is required.
• Valid drivers license

Hiring Salary Range: $25.0 - 25.0.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
